Spring SPC Recap

This season, Casady spring sports traveled to Houston for their annual SPC tournaments.Golf headed to Houston to play in the SPC tournament on April 25th to 26th. Boys Golf finished 11th out of 18 teams. The girls finished 4th place. Most notably, Pauline Nguyen was the individual SPC girls champion.Girls and Boys Track went to St. Marks in Dallas April 29th and 30th for their meet. The Boys Team ranked 6 out of 19 in the meet. Jake Uhland placed 2nd in the shot-put with a personal best throw. Jaylan Williams placed 5th in the discus. The boys 4X400m, with a team consisting of Alden O'Connor, Will Harlow, Mason Coleman, and Isaiah Levingston, placed 4th, shaving off 4 seconds to get their best time of the season. Alden O'Connor placed 4th in the 300m Hurdles with a personal best and Reid Fisher placed 8th in the 110m Hurdles with a personal best.Isaiah Levingston came out with a point to prove, and had a monster weekend. He placed 5th in the high jump, 1st in the 110m Hurdles, and 2nd in the triple jump. Isaiah also broke a SPC record for the 300m hurdles, with a personal best time of 38.40 seconds.The girls had some notable finishes, as well. Gabby Lee placed 8th in the 800m with a personal best. Katilyn Barthell placed 4th in the 3200m with a personal best time of 11:49.82, and placed 6th in the 1600m, shaving 9 seconds off her time to post her personal best of 5:24.45. The girls 4x800 team, consisting of Casey Denny, Gabby Lee, Daniella Rodriguez-Chavez, and Kaitlyn Barthel, placed 7th with their personal best time of 10:21.82.On top of the notable results, Jake Uhland and Isaiah Levingston finished with All-SPC honors. Isaiah Levingston had this to say about this years SPC Track Championship: "Never give up if you don't do as good as you planned to do. There will always be another chance to do even better than the previous goal!"Casady Baseball did not travel to SPC, but Softball did. They finished as the 5th seed in the SPC North Zone. Reagan Dahlgren and Lauren Uhland finished with 1st Team All-SPC honors.Casady Girls Tennis qualified for the SPC tournament and finished in 6th place. Dylan Dobson and Rebbeca Puls finished with 1st Team All-SPC recognition. The Boys also qualified for SPC and finished in 6th place, as well. Sam Atkinson and Chris Geiger finished as 1st Team All-SPC.
